Services

Services are available via Zoom or in-person in Chapel Hill and may include some or all of the following:

• Advice on summer experiences and high school course selection

• Evaluation of student record, including transcripts, test scores, and extracurricular activities

• Explanation of admissions process (testing options and timelines, application deadlines, and application options such as ED, EA, etc.)

• Creation of preliminary list of colleges to research and visit

• Guidance on touring campuses

• Honed and balanced final list of 10-12 best-fit schools with varying levels of admissions difficulty

• Assistance with resume and activities list, recommendation letters, and interview preparation

• Help with personal statement and supplementary essay writing, including brainstorming, critique and proofreading

• Decoding of financial and merit aid offers and guidance for effective negotiation

• Assistance with letters of continued interest (LOCI)

• Support in making a final decision, whether the student will be matriculating or taking a gap year

• Assistance with transition to college life

CollegeGroove works virtually in the Triangle and across the country. Several hourly packages are available to provide different levels of support.
